Overview

BST has been in business since 1982. We strive to make each driver a success story and improve their trucking career. BST believes in employing the best drivers on the road, and we do so by ensuring each driver feels supported and welcomed by the BST family.

Before you can get started traveling around the US, you should check to see if you fit the requirements to become a CDL driver for the BST team. Remember – not only are there federal requirements you must fulfill, BST has their own standards that must be followed and those are listed below.

Driver Qualifications

  • Must be at least 23 years of age or older
  • Must have a current Class A CDL License and valid DOT physical
  • No more than 2 moving violations or 4 points on their motor vehicle report (MVR)
  • No DUI or Reckless Operations within the last 5 years
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be registered on the Drug And Alcohol Clearinghouse (to obtain consent)
  • Complete an employment application with 3 years of verifiable work history
    • (10 years of driving history, if applicable)
    • Previous employers will be checked and must be verifiable
  • Complete an interview with the operations manager
  • Attend drivers' orientation and complete driver training
  • Other qualifications may apply

Driver Training

  • New Driver Training Program

What To Expect

  • How much money will I make?
    • $70,000 the first year is possible.

  • How long is training?
    • Training is 4 weeks paid time.

  • What kind of home time will I get?
    • Our drivers are home most weekends.

  • Do you allow pets?
    • No.

  • Will I have to unload freight?
    • No, we are a no touch freight.

  • Can I take my truck home?
    • No, trucks must be left at the terminal when not in use unless approved by your supervisor.

  • Do you allow passengers?
    • Yes, after 90 days and reviewed by safety council. Rider passes are free of charge but not issued to anyone under 16.

  • Do you do team driving?
    • No.
